As he's about to start the exchange, he notices the drone still lingering nearby and wonders if it's somehow tied to Starla's mysterious magical powers.

Alice observes Phooky. Phooky is a troll who appears old and gnarled. Their face is wrinkled, and their eyes are dark and piercing. Their hands have long, crooked fingers, and they hold chopsticks with ease. At the moment, Phooky's attention is fully focused on the bowl of tsukemen in front of them.

Alice looks up at the entrance of the goth club and sees a bouncer standing outside, wearing a black leather jacket and sporting multiple piercings. The bass from the music inside is so loud that the pavement beneath her feet vibrates. A group of people wearing dark clothing and heavy makeup push past her, laughing and chatting excitedly.

Alice looks around and sees FRED-209, a cylindrical security bot with four rubber wheels at its base. It is emitting strange error codes and beeps, possibly indicating confusion.

Alice bends down and opens the small drawer at the bottom of the vending machine. Inside are the adventuring items she bought, including a pair of sturdy boots. Alice slips the boots on and finds that they fit comfortably and look like they will provide good protection.

As Thraeryn focuses his sorcerous sight on the drone, he can see a faint aura of yellow and black energy emanating from it. The drone itself appears to be powered by a small magical crystal, and Thraeryn can see a connection to some kind of control module, likely operated by Starla.
