Wrewdison snaps their fingers, but nothing seems to happen. The Raven is not present and Anesthesia and Rolf exchange glances as they try to hide their amusement. "Don't worry," Anesthesia says with a small smile, "we know the Raven is a tricky one to catch."

Wrewdison goes to show the photos of the captured Raven. However, they quickly realize that they didn't actually capture the Raven, leading them to feel embarrassed and making the other two present double over with laughter.

Ratz looks up from polishing a glass and nods at Wrewdison. "Ah, Herr Wrewdison. Good to see you again. What can I get for you this evening?"

As the crowd starts to disperse, Thraeryn emerges from the shadows, completing their secretive phone call. They approach B1zz0 and notice the dataport on the payphone. They quickly reach into their backpack and retrieve a black book. Flipping through the pages, Thraeryn mutters to themselves, "I think I have the right spell for this," before standing next to B1zz0.

As you examine the dataport, you notice that it is unlike any other port you've seen before. It's covered in strange symbols and what looks like ancient alien writing. You're not quite sure what it does, but it definitely piques your interest.

The Mechanic raises an eyebrow at Thraeryn's comment, seemingly impressed. "Well, you do know your birds, I'll give you that," he says. "But I wouldn't expect much in the way of conversation from this one." The buzzard simply continues to stare intently at Thraeryn, as if waiting for something.

Thraeryn looks up at the buzzard, taking note of its crusty feathers and distinctive smell. The buzzard turns its head to look at Thraeryn, its beady eyes meeting theirs in an unnerving stare.

Thraeryn looks around the outpost for signs of any usable vehicles or modes of transportation but finds none.

As Thraeryn continues to read, Pangolin becomes restless. They start pacing around the shaded area and occasionally glancing in Thraeryn's direction. The transport should be arriving soon, but it doesn't seem to be coming.

Thraeryn opens up "Sorcery for Dummies" and begins reading, but the concepts and terminology are still difficult to grasp. Nonetheless, they continue to absorb as much of the book's knowledge about magic as they can.
