While you're meditating, you hear footsteps outside of the door on the stairway. They get closer, then stop, as if whoever was coming up the stairs didn't want to be heard. What do you do?

Quiet Office in The Chatsubo
As you enter Ratz's office, you notice it is a dimly lit room, with one window facing the alleyway. The dataport sits on a large wooden desk in the middle of the room. A couple of filing cabinets line the right-hand wall, and several shelves are mounted on the left-hand wall. You scan the room and notice nothing out of the ordinary.

You examine the Ono Sendai Cyberspace 7. It is a sleek-looking device with a terry sweatband worn on the forehead, and dermatrodes that can be attached to your skull. It is cast into a block of polycarbon to make it difficult to reverse engineer. The device appears to be in good working condition.

Targus approaches the payphone. As he gets closer, he notices a quarter in the coin return. There is also a cult of the dead cow sticker stuck on the outside of the glass door, and a mysterious dataport that shouldn't be on a phone this old. What does Targus do next?

Apologetic Q in Cyberdelia
Wrewdison tries to reason with the bartender, "That was my personal bottle. I was just looking for a glass to pour some into. I'm sorry for the miscommunication," they say, holding up their hands in surrender. The bartender looks at them skeptically but eventually relents and hands Wrewdison a glass. "Fine. But next time, ask before you take something that isn't yours," the bartender warns before turning away to attend to another patron.

Cyberdelia's Hacker Hangout
Zeb approaches the bar, hoping to order a round of bourbon to celebrate his victory. However, to his disappointment, the bartender informs him that they are out of bourbon. The hacker shrugs and decides to order a round of beer instead, raising his glass to toast his new friends. The young hackers cheer again, and Zeb feels a sense of camaraderie, happy to have found a new group of allies in this dangerous world of cybercrime.

Cyberdelia's Last Stand
Zeb and Wrewdison quickly run back towards the entrance of Cyberdelia to ensure that all of the police officers have left the area. As they approach the door, they can see that most of the officers have already retreated, leaving only a few stragglers behind. Zeb raises his black steel mace once again, ready to take on any remaining officers, but it looks like the coast is clear. They both take a deep breath and make their way out of Cyberdelia, hoping to blend in with the crowd and escape unnoticed.
