Thraeryn questions Starla about the drone hovering over him, "It seems a little too smart to not be AI, ... but a little less subtle than AI. You controlling it magically?". Starla nods, impressed by Thraeryn's intuition. "Well spotted. It's not all magic, but it's enhanced. I added some wetware to the drone to make it more responsive to my commands. It's not completely AI, but it's close," she says, with a shrug. "I've been experimenting with ways to combine magic and technology. It's tricky, but when it works, it's pretty powerful." Thraeryn nods, intrigued by her innovation. But something still didn't sit right with him. He couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to the drone and its role in Starla's magical arsenal.
