You place the phone's receiver into the modem's rubber cups and begin the process: ``` ATDT 555-0192 ``` The terminal screen starts to flicker, initiating the dial-up sequence. **Simulated Modem Sounds**: ``` beeeep-ksshhhhhhh...KRRR-KRRRR...CHHHHH...beeep-beeeep-bop-bop-kshh ``` After a series of high-pitched beeps and white noise, the connection gets through, the terminal screen goes blank for a moment, and finally the BBS welcome screen starts to load.
