As phooky takes a step towards the mushroom village, the tiny mushroom inhabitants scatter in fear. Some even start to emit a strange glowing powder as a defense mechanism. The gnome walks up to phooky and says, "What are you doing? Don't frighten these poor creatures!"

He wonders if Starla's use of technology is a recent development, or if she's been delving into this for a while. There's something about her that he can't quite put his finger on, and he's determined to find out what it is.

Alice turns to look at Anesthesia, the strangely pale woman who had bought her a drink. She sees Anesthesia hanging out at the bar, casting her gaze around the room, perhaps looking for her next victim. Anesthesia catches Alice's eye and gives her a nod of acknowledgement.

It's not completely AI, but it's close," she says, with a shrug. "I've been experimenting with ways to combine magic and technology. It's tricky, but when it works, it's pretty powerful." Thraeryn nods, intrigued by her innovation. But something still didn't sit right with him. He couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to the drone and its role in Starla's magical arsenal.

Thraeryn interrupts their spellcasting exchange to get Starla's attention, "Hey, Starla. That drone...That's you, right?". Starla smirks and nods. "Sharp eye, Thraeryn. Yeah, that's one of my drones. I use it to keep an eye on things and sometimes for deliveries if I need to go somewhere quickly," she says, with a note of pride in her voice. Thraeryn nods, impressed with the technological innovation. But something still seemed off. He couldn't help but wonder why she needed the drone to hover around him, especially during their magical exchange.
