Despite their previous altercation, Roger decides to extend an olive branch and consider giving the guard a raise. However, before Roger can make any moves to do so, the guard, still recovering from the surprise attack, regains his composure and sternly declares that no amount of money can make up for the humiliation he experienced. Roger realizes that it may require more than a raise to repair their relationship.
